Sonja is a British-American actress and voiceover artist, born in San Diego and now based in London. Raised between North America and the UK, she moves effortlessly between Standard American and RP English.

She began her voiceover career with Darkfield Radio’s immersive theatrical productions such as Visitors, which was nominated at the 2020 Raindance Film Festival for Outstanding Achievement in Audio and Best Narrative Experience. Sonja is known for lending her voice to commercial brands such as British Airways, Tortilla, and Chaiiwala as well as corporate campaigns, having most recently narrated for Infabode Premium. Sonja is also a screen actor, having recently appeared in two feature-length horror films wherein she’s happily embraced her inner scream queen.

Sonja’s voice is playful, relatable and soft, influenced by her passion for ASMR. Her voice has a natural sensuality to it while offering versatility – she has voiced characters from cynical supervillainesses to hopeful young protagonists and she’s delivered work in regional US accents such as New York City English, Southern California Valley Girl, Southern American English and the Transatlantic Accent. Having lived in both Spain and Japan, she offers nuanced performances in Spanish and Japanese as well as improvised voiceover work.

Trained in music and movement, Sonja is a singer with a three-octave range and professional flamenco dancer since childhood. She has experience working with intimacy coordinators, animals, and children, and she holds a valid DBS check. She is currently expanding her skills in gymnastics and archery.

She holds dual US and UK passports and is available for projects worldwide.
