
Maz McGinlay is a Scottish, London based performer. Known for her work in theatre, particularly in quirky, comedy, charismatic character roles, she brings characters to life with lots of colour.
She has a Central Scottish accent but is highly skilled in general RP, Yokshire, Irish, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Heightened RP, General American, Southern, New York accents.
Having trained at the Guildford School of Acting (BA Hons), graduating with both the Lucy Evans and MT awards. Her notable theatre roles include Penny Pingleton (Hairspray), Kathy Seldon (Singin in the Rain), Layla (Lifeline Off-Broadway), Claire (Greatest Days), Ghost of Christmas Past (Christmas Carol). Other theatre credits include; Yeast Nation (Southwark Playhouse), The Government Inspector (MTFest), Tainted (Workshop),Cinderella (Antony Law), Barbra in Night of the Living Dead (Pleasance Theatre),Cinderella (Mercury Theatre).
She is currently gearing up to Perform in Lifeline again but this time as the lead role of Jess in a London run.
In 2014, Maz won the Young Scottish Musical Theatre Performer of the Year.
