Bio

Lauren Akosia is a professional actor, voiceover artist, and singer whose career continues to gain momentum, with several exciting projects in development. On screen, she currently appears in the BAFTA Award-winning BBC series Mr Loverman and joined the cast of Whitstable Pearl in its third season.
Lauren trained at Mountview on the MA Acting programme, receiving extensive vocal training and voiceover tuition from leading industry professionals. Alongside her acting and vocal work, she trained in Laban technique, multiple dance styles, physical theatre, and stage and screen combat, achieving British Academy of Dramatic Combat Standard level.

Since graduating, Lauren has built a varied portfolio across film, television, commercials, theatre, and voiceover. She has performed in prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Arena, Southwark Playhouse, the National Theatre of Ghana, and Theatre503. Commercially, she has worked with brands such as J2O, Microsoft, Hinge, Kiss FM, and numerous higher education institutions.
With African-Caribbean heritage, Lauren brings a rich cultural authenticity to her work and can deliver a wide range of accents from across those regions, alongside her native Standard London/RP. She holds a BA (Hons) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Nottingham and is a proud member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.
