Bio

Born in London with English and Scottish heritage, Alasdair’s distinctive voice is shaped by an unconventional upbringing—boarding schools, time spent in America, and a deep love of literature all fueling his fascination with language and the way people speak. This has influenced his work as a voice artist, most noticeably narrating audiobooks including Beyond the 39 Steps: A Life of John Buchan and Dark Star: A Biography of Vivien Leigh for Bloomsbury.

He speaks French, can sing, is fully phoetics trained and has an excellent ear for accents, including highly skilled at US accents.

He trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School before performing in the West End in Jamie Lloyd’s productions of The Pride, Richard III, and Urinetown, as well as portraying the enigmatic Mr. Paravicini in The Mousetrap. His stage credits also include the world premieres of The Da Vinci Code, That Bastard Puccini and A Little History of the World on tour, along with Stephen Daldry’s iconic production of An Inspector Calls.

On screen, Alasdair has appeared in We Hunt Together, Casualty, The Cost of Living, and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, in addition to commercial work for brands such as 1&1 and Orange.

He is formally trained in stage combat, is passionate about current affairs and has a great deal of experience as a teacher and in education.

Alasdair brings versatility and depth to every performance.
