
Born in London with English and Scottish heritage, Alasdair’s distinctive voice is shaped by an unconventional upbringing—boarding schools, time spent in America, and a deep love of literature all fueling his fascination with language and the way people speak.
He trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School before performing in the West End in Jamie Lloyd’s productions of The Pride, Richard III, and Urinetown, as well as portraying the enigmatic Mr. Paravicini in The Mousetrap. His stage credits also include the world premieres of The Da Vinci Code and A Little History of the World on tour, along with Stephen Daldry’s iconic production of An Inspector Calls.
On screen, Alasdair has appeared in We Hunt Together, Casualty, The Cost of Living, and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, in addition to commercial work for brands such as 1&1 and Orange.
As a voice artist, he has narrated audiobooks including Beyond the 39 Steps: A Life of John Buchan and Dark Star: A Biography of Vivien Leigh for Bloomsbury.
With formal training in stage combat, singing, phonetics, and an exceptional ear for accents, Alasdair brings versatility and depth to every performance.
