
Max is a German actor and voice over artist. He trained at the drama school Hochschule für Schauspielkunst “Ernst Busch” in Berlin, where he is originally from. Growing up in the west of Berlin, Max had an accent that reflected his city. Drama school taught him ‘High German’ (the German equivalent of RP.) as well as other regional dialects. Max is fluent in English and his native language is German.
His speech in German is neutral, but he can easily switch from ‘High German’ to a strong Berlin accent.
In English his accent is quite light, and can also represent general European.
Max spent a lot of his career in Germany on the stage. Playing at Volksbühne in Berlin, Theater Lübeck and Theater im Bauturm in Cologne – where he also helped to adapt and translate original works from English to German. In the latter he won the Cologne Theatreprize for Don Quijote.
His screenwork includes roles in feature films such as Heute oder morgen, Axiom, Wunderschön and various German TV shows such as SOKO Potsdam, Notruf Hafenkante and SOKO Leipzig.
He then decided to embark on a new adventure to England, where he now lives in beautiful London. Braving the rain and enjoying the city. Where he loves to take advantage of the many museums and theatre and culinary delights that the city has to offer.
Since moving to the UK he played the cruel psychopathic antagonist in WW2 film Wolves of War. Plus supporting roles on TV shows including Apple TV’s Masters of the Air and BBC’s SAS: Rogue Heroes. He recently voiced various characters on the Netflix animated series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch.
