Matt is a versatile actor and voice artist originally from Derbyshire, known for his warm, neutral UK accent and approachable vocal style. He trained at LAMDA after beginning his career at The Television Workshop, building a strong foundation in performance, character work and vocal technique.
Matt’s skill as a voice artist is supported by an extensive range of accents, including Standard American, RP, Dublin, Edinburgh, Liverpool, and Sheffield, alongside his native Derbyshire. His voice is naturally upbeat, grounded and engaging, making him a strong fit for commercial, narration and character-driven voiceover.
His screen credits span major UK television series, including Downton Abbey (BBC/Carnival), Emmerdale (ITV), Coronation Street (ITV), Belgravia (Carnival), Against The Law (BBC), Doctors (BBC) and Tina & Bobby (ITV)—where he also portrayed Jack Charlton. Matt recently completed work on the WWI feature Landship for Tin Hat Productions, playing Sgt. Robert Missen, and appeared in the award-winning comedy short Sexellence, winner of Best Comedy Short at The Grand Budapest Film Festival.
Alongside his screen work, Matt brings strong physical performance skills and musical ability—highly skilled in piano and saxophone—which further enhance his vocal characterisation and storytelling.
