
Hugh is a white British male voice actor with over twenty years’ work across radio, television and film. With a vocal playing age of 40–60, he’s narrated documentaries for clients including BBC America, while his bold, distinctive and playful character work can be heard across a wide range of radio and TV commercials, dramas and films. A conversational Spanish speaker and with excellent sight-reading skills, Hugh’s equally at home delivering in his natural RP or in GenAm, London, West Country, Northern and French character accents.
The regular voice for Select UK’s radio advertising, his other credits include ADR, campaigns and productions for Standard Chartered Bank, Game of Thrones, John West, RTÉ, and RAI Italy.
Voice coaching has included voice acting for games with Thomas Mitchells and SugarPod Productions, accent training with Keith Higginbotham and one-to-one coaching with Cathal Quin, head of voice at The Lir, Dublin.
Alongside his voice work, Hugh is co-writing and directing a feature documentary in association with World of Wonder Productions (RuPaul’s Drag Race). He’s also an experienced voiceover director and producer of musicals, bringing a deep understanding of performance and storytelling to every project.
For home recording services, Hugh works with award-winning sound editor Killian Fitzgerald (Pearl Harbour, Top Gear) in his industry-standard studio.
