
Ellen O`Grady is originally from Essex. Left Essex to go and train at the prestigious Webber Douglas Academy and has worked in a variety of theatre productions including television, commercial and feature film. Ellen has a wonderful ear for accents and an incredible singing voice.
Ellen’s first job in the industry was touring Europe playing Dionne in the musical Hair. Ellen went onto tour America with Black Hero’s in the Hall of Fame where she got to work with Motown Legend Frankie Gaye brother to Marvin Gaye. Ellen was part of the original cast for the Musical Nine where she played Sarragina at The Royal Festival Hall and recorded the cast album with Jonathan Price and Elaine Page. Ellen played the Professor in Viva Voce a new Installation film at The Tate Britain. Ellen performed in Porgy and Bess at the Regents Park open Air theatre, this performance was nominated for a 2015 Olivia award, and was part of the ITV Olivia performances.
Other performances include The Nurse in Jeff Wayne’s War of The Worlds. Beauty and the Beast Disney Film. Lady Thiang in the King & I at Leicester Haymarket. At The West Yorkshire Playhouse Ellen played The White Witch in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and Yvonne Atkins in Bad Girls the musical. The Lady from the road in Blues in the Night Salisbury Playhouse. Louise in the Four Figures of Harlequin Royal Opera House At Regents Park open air Theatre Ellen played Hippolyta in Midsummer Night’ Dream and also Tatiana. In Henry IV Part I Mistress Quickly. Sherry in Paint your wagon. Ariel in the Tempest, Morgan Le Fay in Camelot. Television work includes work with the BBC, ITV, Holby City, Doctors, and Daddy girl. This is Ellen’s second time at the Union. First time was another of Michael John La Chiusa’s work playing Poncia in Bernada Alba and now the Whore in Hello again
