Asha is a mixed-race actor and voice artist with a natural Estuary accent and a love of exploring vocal variety. She frequently works in Yorkshire, the Scottish Highlands, General American, and various London accents, bringing character, warmth, and versatility to her performances.
She is best known for her role as Alicia in the critically acclaimed feature film FEMME. On screen, Asha has also appeared as a guest star in BBC’s drama series THE SYNDICATE. On stage, she recently starred in the lead role of Lucy Kirkwood’s RAPTURE in Germany, following an extensive international tour of Javaad Alipoor’s production THIS HIDDEN SINCE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.
Asha’s voice work includes the award-winning comedy podcast THIS IS GAY, which received multiple accolades at the British Podcast Awards (2022) and was nominated for the Channel 4 National Comedy Award. As a lead ensemble member, she multi-roles across a wide range of characters—from a haughty mum of two at a sex party, to a grieving gran at a funeral, to a quick-witted teacher with a chip on her shoulder. The podcast’s success led to Baby Cow Productions and BBC3 commissioning it as a comedy sketch show, now available on iPlayer.
During her training, Asha also worked with pioneering, award-winning radio producer Celia De Wolff while preparing for the Carlton Hobbs Award, further strengthening her vocal craft.
